I have spent some of the wonderful days of my life in Sapporo.
It is calm and beautiful city. Best to live simple life and enjoy winter heaven.
There are plenty of places to see around. Speacility of Sapporo is its beautiful winter look. Entire city & all surrounding areas become white with so much of snow. Winter lasts for around 4-5 months here. Of course there are many places to hang around, round the year.
I would pen down some of my wonderful experiences in the city in my 1 year tenure here.
I came to Sapporo in March of 2013 with my wife and 2 year old son, and stayed for around little more than an year.
When I came in March, it was still snowy. It was our first snow experience and very very beautiful. There was so much snow everywhere. Had to be very careful to avoid slipping on the roads.
We stayed in the hotel for a couple of days before moving into the apartment. Snow was there until end of April and we enjoyed it a lot in our housing society & in many parks. In summer we visited many nice places like odori park, national park, furano - city of beautiful flower farms etc. I will talk about those in my further posts.
